It’s been a long time since My Defi Pet has re-organized the AMA to help the community easily bring questions, personal questions about the game, and also not have a focus session for us to talk to each other about the future, the upcoming development of My Defi Pet, right?
CryptoPreneur: Great to have you here, Could you start by introducing yourself to the Pet Masters following this AMA today?
Mira: Hi everyone, I’m Mira — MDP core team, representing MDP as Speaker in today’s AMA.
The system received a lot of questions from you, and with the time allocated, I’d like to be able to select the best, most popular questions to answer with everyone.
Recently, the community must have had a bit of confusion with the big update called “PET V2”. On this AMA, I would also like to apologize on behalf of the game to all Pet Masters for not posting calm-down news articles in the community. But the hint is always an important factor that makes the game more interesting than ever, right?
A big update Pet V2 was released as a new makeover of My Defi Pet, with more beautiful and unique skin. And this change is an affirmation to come, MDP will have a lot of positive changes to meet the needs of players and holders. 🎉

For the first part of our Q&A, we have selected several questions from the form that was sent this past week for this event. First Question,
What is the reason for the developer to make pet v2?
Mira: First, the design of pet v2 differs significantly from that of pet v1. The ratio of pet infant to adult is designed to be more balanced in order to provide a clear feeling as the pet matures. Furthermore, the identification factors between pet kinds are being emphasized more aggressively.
Simultaneously, when creating the Pet v2, combative components are thought to be pushed harder. If the pet infant seems mischievous and adorable, in adult form, the pet will contain more battle aspects. This modification is designed to usher in a new generation of pets that are better suited to future features like as the skill system, Arena mode, and so on.
Besides, the color factor in the pet V2 this time is also more meticulously refined. Each pet color version is manually adjusted. The color is limited to highlighting accessories which pet carries on without looking a fightful jumble.
Let’s also talk about animation. If you own Pet v2, you will notice an instant change in animation. Each pet has unique motions that are specific to its species. It looks lovely at times and cool at others. Another difference is that all of their wings will be moving.
In brief, Pet v2 is the most comprehensive design to give users with the most interesting experience.
In addition to everything I’ve already said, there will be many more features in this edition of Pet v2 for you to explore.
CryptoPreneur: Well for the second question, What will happen to the old pets? What will happen to the pets with logo? How about the value of the old pets?
Mira: Regarding Pet V1, we also received lots of questions. I’ll clarify to you guys now 🌟
Pet v1 purchasing and breeding are disabled on June 24 and Pet V2 will be released following. Of course, pets with logo still keep logo if you convert to pet V2. Users can keep their pet v1 ecosystem depending on their decision. As a consequence, pet V1 will have its own financial worth. We will no longer create pet v1 after pet V2 is launched. At this time, pet V1 will become rare for new users and will attract those who like the cartoon-oriented design of pet V1.

Can you show us an updated roadmap?
Mira: Sure thing, we are about to release new roadmap. We are working on strategic planning and timeline estimating to update My DeFi Pet’s roadmap of the upcoming journey. However, we can give you a sneak peek that in the last half of 2022, we will have a mobile version of My DeFi Pet! Now you can play with your Pets anywhere at any time you wish! Please stay tuned! 🙏

CryptoPreneur: Next question, What’s your plan to prevent another hack? How do you deal with an oversupply of pets? How do you maintain the value of each pet through the in-game system?
Mira: This is what all game developers are interested in. Currently, our game server is more secure and stable because we changed the server logic and enhanced rocket engine. If anyone try to use any third party tools or find the way to hack, the server will disconnect immediately and minus the amount of resource that you try to exploit automatically.
Limiting eggs is necessary to avoid oversupply of pets and we will conduct this in the near future.
Besides, keeping both the pet v1 and pet v2 ecosystems parallel is also a strategy to keep each pet’s worth. Each pet version has its own strengths and is reasonably balanced. There are no pets that are too powerful or too weak. All are fairly balanced and have their own merit.
CryptoPreneur: 5th question, What do we expect in 2022?
Mira: Up to now, My Defi Pet has joined Blockchain field for 1 year. ✨
First of all, I want to assure you that MDP is one of the pioneering projects in the Gamefi wave in 2021 and a long-term project. Up to now, it is rare for an early project to continue to exist and develop like MDP. So, I think what you are most looking forward to is the continuous development of MDP. Currently, we are building mobile platform. In 2022, we will launch the mobile version, promising to bring an exciting gaming experience. In addition, we will also release new features to make the game more exciting and also help you earn DPET tokens as reward. The new roadmap will be updated ASAP.
CryptoPreneur: For question number 6, this is one of the frequently asked question of the Community.
There is already a release of MDP pet version 2, however, the skills of pet version 1 has not been released yet. How and when will the pet masters know of these skills?
Mira: he skill system is being perfected and will be released following:
Each species has their own skills, regardless of pet v1 or pet v2. As long as they are the same species, will have similar skills. You may have noticed that the skills have been introduced by us in the posts/banners about pet v2, such as: Tygra — bleeding strike, Fang — DPS, Winged Pupper — lifesteal, etc. More is coming. Mira: Q1: As you can see, Pet V2 is introduced in MDP universe. Upgrading pet v2 creates a new interface, eye-catching and attractive pet characters and brings gaming experiences that are not only eye-catching but also smooth for users. In the second half of this year, there will be more frequent features and events to keep players more engaging and exciting.✨
Q2: Yes, this was also our original plan. You can trade elixir on Marketplace in the near future. To do this, we are improving marketplace to make sure that it is completely safe.
To keep users safe from the volatile market, we don’t plan to have elixir as another token to trade on DEX or CEX.
Q3: DPET token has been a utility token that will be used as the medium of exchange between participants on My DeFi Pet in a decentralized manner.
Also, the token plays an important role in the governance model that started out with MyDeFiPet DAO. There have been multiple proposals and voting campaigns utilizing the governance perspective of DPET token. In the future, there will be more proposal for everyone to vote on and users can actually create proposals for voting as well.
MyDeFiPet DAO is fully decentralized. The power of vote depends on the weight of the vote, meaning the number of tokens holding.
CryptoPreneur: Question number 8, Will V1 pets can still be sold or purchased in V2 marketplace?
Mira: Sure, Pet V1 can still be traded on Marketplace V2 with the purpose of keeping Pet v1 ecosystem. Pet v1 also can evolve, join Arena, World Boss and other upcoming features in-game.
When converting pet V1 to pet V2, your pet v1 is transformed completely to Pet V2 and they will disappear. They are not going to be spirits if you convert to Pet v2.
CryptoPreneur: Question number 9
Why are the things in the plan not done in time, and the things that are not in the plan are being done all the time? The plan is not updated yet?
Mira: I got your feeling when the feature was delayed and I hope you guys will sympathize with us.🙏
There is no disputing that the dev team has been very dedicated and passionate about the project. As evidenced, by previous attacks/hacks, the dev team has learned from the experience and improved the product. We have a development plan for the game, and we are certain that what plans have been shared to the community will be kept. Although bugs may sometimes arise unexpectedly along the process, this is unavoidable with technology. We also take the opportunity to apologize to the community for delaying a few features. But be assured that we always listen to the community, try to fix and perfect quickly so that users have the best gaming experience.

Will there be significant changes from v1 — v2 pets aside from their appearance?
Mira: Ah it’s up to you! You can make additional changes through DAO. Depending on your decision and your strategy, you can keep your pet V1 or convert to Pet V2. Pet V1 and Pet V2 are two distinct designs. Choose based on your preferences. However, having a diverse variety of species, designs, and ecological expansion on your own farm is also a plus, right? Each version has unique strengths and benefits that you will need to learn about later.

- Is there any change about the stat between v1 and v2 pets?
Yes, sure, pet V2 have the stats slightly higher than pet v1, but it will be balanced with the appropriate stats.
2. How about the change of egg price? Could you provide us some food to push our pet to level 20 lol?
Egg v2 costs about 10 DPET. Users need to play the game to grow food and level the pet to level 20.
3. What is the advantage of early/pioneer investors against new players?
We honor both early players and late-comer players as long as they are active and engaged in our community. Early players had higher chance to grab logo pets and ultimate pets; and it has been advantages for early players.
Because this is a long-term project, we must balance the rewards to avoid depleting the pool. There will be many upcoming features for your exploring.
4. Do you have any plans to sell V2 egg?
Yes, for those who are not yet eligible to convert to pet V2 before July 10th, we will open the sale of limited V2 eggs so that they have the opportunity to receive V2 eggs. Moreover, we will stop producing V1 eggs, so the purchasing of V2 eggs will also help attract new users more accessible to the game.
5. What will I get if I breed my pet before v2 and hatch it after v2 release?
Each pet version is tied to its own smart contract. If you breed pet V1, you will receive offspring as pet V1. As I said above, breeding feature of Pet v1 is disabled on June 24th 2022 and pet v2 will be released within the next few days.
